Skater of The Month
Ingrid and Stephen Brice
Ingrid and Stephen Brice of East Hills placed fourth to win the pewter medal in the Pre-Bronze Ice Dance event at the 14th Annual U.S. Figure Skating Adult Championships held April 9-12 in Lake Placid.
Twelve couples from throughout the country competed in the event. Rankings were determined by the marks from seven judges in each of four ice dances performed over a two-day period. Pre-Bronze is the entry level for ice dance competition in USFSA sponsored events. The Adult National Championships are open to all skaters age 21 and older, consisting of ladies, men’s, pairs, and dance events at various levels, drawing over 600 skaters for this year’s competition.
Ingrid and Steve represented the Cantiague Figure Skating Club and train at Iceworks in Syosset and the Arena at Long Beach, with coaches Sharon Mulligan and Elaine Parker. Ingrid also trains with coach Patrick Connelly.
